It’s great to have a holiday dedicated to give thanks to everyone and everything in my life.  Research shows that making a habit of focusing on what you are grateful for can result in significantly increasing your happiness.  Giving back, reaching out, saying thanks, keeping a journal are all great ways to increase the gratitude in your life. 

Here’s one of our family Thanksgiving traditions:  Each person has their body traced on a large piece of poster paper and colors in their face with magic markers.  The outlined bodies are pasted in the hallway creating a family gallery.  Throughout the day, family members write words of gratitude on each poster.  By the end of the day, everyone can read all the things they do that bring gratitude to others.
