What you see is what you get.  Don’t underestimate the power of visualization.  If you are facing a challenge or dealing with a new situation, start by creating a mental image of the future event or success to boost confidence and performance.  Here are a few exercises to visualize success and recall over and over.  You will begin to believe it will happen.

  1.  Be the star, not the audience.   Like an athlete, visualize your self from your own perspective, how you will look and feel; not like you are in a movie.
  2. Make a stand.  Picture the place you will perform the activity; imagine the way you hold your body, head up, walking toward the situation.
  3. Turn on all of your senses:   What do you smell, hear, or feel?  Immerse yourself in the mental image with all the detail that would occur in real life.
  4. Practice makes perfect.  Mentally practice the visualization.  Keep practicing the visualization technique; the more you practice, the better you will be at it.

So what are you waiting for?  Practice visualization and success will follow.
