When was the last time you had a friend over for a visit?  In a survey of over ~400 professional women, 55 percent report not having had a friend over in over two months.  Life is busy.  There’s so much to do that friendships get crowded out.  If busyness is your excuse, reclaim your schedule and make some time for fun and friendship.  Here’s some ideas:

  1.  Celebrate something – milestone, birthday, wins – start a habit of finding a reason to bring people together and celebrate life.
  2. It’s summer time – plan a ice cream social – make your own sundae’s – ask friends to bring their favorite topping.  No cooking, try this on a weekend afternoon.
  3.  Have a game night.  Dust off an board game, hook up some music, and let the fun begin.  Games encourage conversation, interaction and rediscover your inner kid, and have some fun.

It’s time to reconnect to friends.  Make it simple.  Make it fun.  Make it happen.

I’m glad we had the times together just to laugh and sing a song.  Seems like we just got started and then before you know it, the times we had together are gone.”  –Dr. Seuss
